OUR OFF-GRID SOLAR PROJECT

RAVIRAVI VILLAGE OFF-GRID SOLAR PROJECT

Raviravi Village, Macuata in Vanua Levu, is set to become a beacon of hope for sustainable energy. The village is located in a remote area of the Fijian Islands, nestled in the coastal rural area of Fiji's Northern division. This community of approximately 200 residents, primarily fishermen and farmers, has traditionally relied on diesel generators, kerosene lamps, and candles for lighting purposes.  However, with the introduction of Pasifika Reach's pilot project, the village is now poised to lead the way in sustainable energy solutions for Fiji and the broader pacific region.

The solid based ground mount solar project will deliver reliable electricity to homes, community center, and church building, empowering villagers to utilize this renewable energy to provide essential needs to enhance their daily lives. Through this opportunity, access to online educational programs, digital resources, and the internet, enhancing their learning opportunities including trade and skills development. This solar program will also offer "in village" jobs, decreasing urban migration.

Moreover, the project will improve healthcare services by providing reliable lighting and power medical equipment, ensuring better care for the community. It will also stimulate economic growth through entrepreneurship and job creation, such as initiatives like the pearl-civa Raviravi village project, which can help them tap into new markets and enhance their livelihood. Overall, this initiative represents a significant step toward sustainable development and improved quality of life.

  • Community engagement through village meetings and workshops:

We prioritize direct engagement with the communities we serve by conducting village meetings and workshops. This ensure that the local voices are heard, and the projects are aligned with their specific requirements and inspirations.

  • Strategic partnerships with governing bodies:

We actively engage with local governing bodies and relevant government sectors. This collaborative approach ensures the sustainability and the integration of our projects within the broader development framework.

  • Implementation of solar infrastructure:

Following thorough assessment and collaborative planning, we implement sustainable solar infrastructure solutions to address critical energy needs and foster long-term empowerment.
